Lahore Qalandars won their first Pakistan Super League trophy on Sunday, defeating Multan Sultans.
The Qalandars won by 42 runs over the Sultans to end their title drought.
Prime Minister Imran Khan met with the victorious team’s CEO Rana Aatif, skipper Shaheen Shah Afridi, young talent Mohammad Zahid, and coach Aqib Javed ahead of the tournament.
However, the meeting took place just a few days after Lahore named Shaheen as their new leader.
Many questioned whether the Qalandars had made the right decision in naming Shaheen as their captain as soon as the announcement was made.
