PM Shehbaz, Modi Likely to Meet at Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Summit

By the next month, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif most probably have an official and scheduled meeting with the governors of the major countries including India’s Narendra Modi, as per sources.

According to the sources, meeting would held during the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit scheduled on September 15 and 16 in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, the historical and cultural centre of Muslims.

Governor of other countries including China, Russia and Iran are also expected to meet Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

On July 28, Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari attended a meeting of the SCO FMs where it was decided that all the heads of the member countries will participate in the summit meeting of the organisation in personal capacity, as per the sources in the federal capital.

Bilawal informed that there was no scheduled meeting between heads of both countries (i.e India and Pakistan), both the countries are the part of SCO and only engaged in the context of the broad-based activities of the organisation.

Further Bilawal stated that nation should get use to living with them as India is our neighbouring country, While one can decide on a lot of things, one cannot choose its neighbours.
