Pak Suzuki has officially announced that it will no longer accept bookings for any variant of its Wagon R hatchback, starting from March 11, 2025. This decision comes after the company previously stopped taking orders for the top variant of the model. The Wagon R was first introduced in Pakistan in 2014, but over the years, its sales have been declining.
Between July 2024 and February 2025, only 1,608 units of the Wagon R were sold. This is a significant drop compared to the same period the previous year, when 2,285 units were sold. In comparison, other Suzuki models like the Swift, Cultus, and Alto have experienced higher sales during this time.
The exact reasons behind the suspension of bookings are not yet confirmed by the company, but many believe that the decrease in sales played a major role in this decision. The Wagon R’s sales have been dropping steadily, which likely led Suzuki to stop accepting bookings in order to focus on other, more popular models.
The Wagon R, which has been a part of Suzuki’s lineup in Pakistan for nearly a decade, was once a popular choice among customers. However, over time, it has struggled to maintain its position in the market, facing stiff competition from other vehicles in the same category. Despite its earlier success, the declining sales figures seem to have made it less profitable for Suzuki to continue offering the model.
