President Arif Alvi of Pakistan arrived in Jeddah on Sunday before the start of the Hajj pilgrimage on Monday.
When he reached the King Abdulaziz International Airport, the president, wearing an ihram, was welcomed by Prince Badr bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the deputy governor of the Makkah region.
According to reports, President Alvi, along with his family and staff, will be participating in the Hajj pilgrimage. Saudi media has mentioned that a total of 1,655,188 Hajj pilgrims from different countries have arrived in the Kingdom so far.
