Private Security Companies Will Be Hired To Patrol Parks: Punjab Govt

After the terrible case of a woman being abused in Greater Iqbal Park, the Punjab government has decided to hire private security companies to patrol important parks.

According to sources, the Punjab administration has planned to replace the ageing cameras within a week. The PHAs, on the other hand, planned to turn their security personnel into a baton-carrying force, for which they would receive special training.

Asif Mehmood, Chief Minister’s Advisor, has stated that orders have been made to place lights in the parks. PHA is responsible for protecting women in parks, according to Asif Mehmood’s adviser.

Armed private guards on motorcycles would patrol the parks. At the same time, the Punjab government has asked the Punjab Housing Authority to put cameras in all of the province’s parks.
