The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to shift the HBL PSL 10 draft ceremony from Gwadar to Lahore due to logistical challenges. Initially planned for January 11 in the coastal city of Gwadar, the event will now take place at an open-air venue in Lahore, set against the stunning backdrop of the iconic Badshahi Mosque and the historic Shahi Qila.
To finalize the location, the PSL management has asked the production team and broadcasters to select the most suitable spot in the area. Reports suggest that the Baradari, a popular landmark near the mosque, is the top choice for hosting the ceremony.
Considering the cold weather in Lahore during January, arrangements such as stand heaters will be made to ensure the comfort of attendees. Additionally, drones will be used to capture breathtaking visuals and enhance the overall experience of the event.
This venue change comes after concerns were raised by PSL franchises about holding the ceremony in Gwadar. The PCB aims to ensure a smooth and memorable event in Lahore, combining the grandeur of cricket with the city’s rich cultural heritage.
