Pakistan, Türkiye and Saudi Arabia are set to deepen their newly signed defence partnership through a series of high-level political and military coordination mechanisms. According to Türkiye’s Defence Ministry, the three countries plan to establish structured channels involving their defence and foreign ministers, as well as senior military leadership.
The move is aimed at improving communication, coordination and cooperation among the three partners on defence and security matters.
The agreement also provides for greater military cooperation, including joint exercises involving land, naval and air forces. The three countries are expected to explore collaboration in areas such as air defence, unmanned systems, electronic warfare and artificial intelligence.
Such cooperation could provide opportunities for the countries to exchange expertise, strengthen interoperability and develop capabilities in emerging areas of defence technology.
The partnership also places emphasis on cooperation between the three countries’ defence industries. Planned areas include joint research and development, production, technology sharing and logistical support, potentially creating new opportunities for defence-related industries in all three countries.
Türkiye has indicated that the partnership could eventually expand to include other countries and is not intended to replace or undermine existing alliances and international partnerships.
The development marks another step toward closer strategic cooperation between Pakistan, Türkiye and Saudi Arabia.
While each country maintains its own defence priorities and international relationships, the new framework could provide a platform for greater coordination and collaboration across military, technological and industrial fields.
