According to the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), the government has a 98 percent success rate in blocking the transmission of obscene and inappropriate content on social media.
As per a PTA statement, the social media sites have processed over 9,04,000 complaints out of over 9,16,000 total complaints, exceeding the 98 percent execution rate.
Compliance from numerous platforms, including as Facebook, TikTok, and Twitter, is required for the government’s approach to be implemented successfully.
