Public Holiday Announced in Karachi on July 11

Karachiites will be having a public holiday in Karachi on 11^th July 2023 on the occasion of the annual urs of Hazrat Abdullah Shah Ghazi (R.A) celebrated on 20th – 22th Dhu Al-Hijjah every year.

The public holiday has been declared by the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC). According to the notification, all the offices under the jurisdiction of Karachi Metropolitan Corporation will remain closed for the annual urs.

Kamran Khan Tessori, the Sindh Governor will inaugurate the Hazrat Abdullah Shah Ghazi URS event, a holy occasion celebrated yearly. The urs will be a three-day celebration starting from 11^th July till 13^th July.

The celebration will consist of a naat program and a qawwali session on the first and last days of urs.
