The Government of Punjab, on Monday announced an allocation of Rs1 billion for a scholarship programme based on merit.
Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar will inaugurate the ‘Rehmatul-lil-Aalameen’ scholarship programme. Under this programme, scholarships will be provided to students who are “talented and deserving.”
Buzdar says students will be able to submit applications online.
Earlier this year, the Balochistan Education Endowment Fund (BEEF) had also announced its annual scholarships for students.
As per BEEF’s programme manager, approximately 8,000 students will be awarded a stipend to pursue their education.
