In the coming years, Doha plans to hire more than 150,000 Pakistani workers. Mishal M. Al Ansari, Qatar’s Consul General (CG) announced the news recently.
The council was speaking to representatives of the Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) at a meeting, and reported that the number of companies owned entirely by Pakistanis has increased significantly.
He also noted that numerous joint projects between the two countries are in the works in a variety of fields including defense, food, and agriculture.
Pakistan’s efforts to tackle COVID-19 were also praised by the CG. Against the pandemic, the country’s strong strategies have proven effective. Qatar had also provided medical assistance to the counterpart, as per the council.
