Record-breaking 0.98 million Pakistani sent abroad for jobs by PTI Government

The Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) for Overseas Pakistanis, Syed Zulfiqar Bukhari said that during the first year and a half of the government’s tenure in its efforts to increase the country’s employment rate, the new PTI government sent a record-breaking 0.98 million Pakistanis overseas to get jobs.

The government also partners with other nations to ensure that Pakistanis who lost their jobs during the pandemic are employed to relieve their difficulties once again. He also added that as Pakistan received remittances worth $2.3 billion in October, 14.1 percent more compared to October 2019, it contributed to a record inflow of foreign exchange.

In this pandemic, many overseas Pakistanis lost their jobs and were forced to return to their homes in Pakistan with even less jobs at home due to economic uncertainty. The pandemic even thwarted the attempts of the government to export manpower all over the world. In particular, the job market should boost as many COVID-19 candidates have cleared their Phase III trials and are ready for export early next year.

He also stated that according to Radio Pakistan, the government will use all legal options to bring Nawaz Sharif back to the country.
