According to Ambassador of Italy to Pakistan Andreas Ferrarese, “vast prospects exist to boost mutual commerce and investment between Pakistan and Italy,” and businessmen and traders from both nations can gain.
The envoy urged Pakistani businessmen and traders to promote mutual trade and economic connections between the two countries during a speech to the business community in Islamabad on Wednesday.
He established that Italy-Pakistan’s economic, trade, and cultural ties are at an all-time high. In addition, Italy is home to the largest Pakistani diaspora in the European Union.
According to data, workers’ remittances from Italy reached an all-time high of $601 million in FY21, making Italy the seventh-largest global destination for remittances to Pakistan and the first among EU countries.
