Rohat Fort been allotted Rs 1.25 billion for facilities

For high quality tourism amenities and road repair around Rohtas Fort, the Punjab administration has committed $1.25 billion.

The second largest fort in Pakistan, which is of historical importance, is to be provided with the latest touristic amenities under the provincial government’s strategy for the protection and restoration of historic patrimony.

In the Jhelum district, the 12-door fort extends over 12 acres and is rich in history. Khawas Khan Marwat, the valiant general and eloquent son of Sher Shah Suri, is attributed the particular entry to the fort on GT Road while the door near the cantina remembers the glass porch embellished with its beautiful blue bricks.
