Sarfaraz Ahmed, the captain of Quetta Gladiators, will not play in today’s Pakistan Premier League (PSL) match against Peshawar Zalmi because of a finger injury.
In the absence of Sarfaraz, Mohammad Nawaz will captain Quetta, and Bismillah Khan has been selected as the wicketkeeper’s replacement.
Since joining the team in the initial season of the PSL, this will be the first time Sarfaraz has missed a Quetta game.
Sarfaraz was transported to a nearby hospital for scans after Naseem Shah’s delivery during Monday’s game against Karachi Kings caused him to suffer a blow to his left ring finger.
Even though there is no fracture, the former Pakistan captain is still in discomfort, according to reports.
