Saudi Astronauts Conduct ‘Heart Transmission’ Experiment with Students Across the Kingdom

Saudi astronauts Rayyanah Barnawi and Ali Al-Qarni conducted an educational experiment with high school students in Saudi Arabia from the International Space Station (ISS). The experiment called ‘heat transmission’ allowed students to compare results and interact with the astronauts, exploring how heat travels in microgravity compared to Earth.

The experiment revealed that heat travels slower in space. The astronauts also conducted a space kite experiment involving 12,000 middle school students, aimed at sparking interest in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields.

These interactive experiments, organized by the Saudi Space Commission and other partners, aim to improve students’ skills and promote the development of the space sector in the Kingdom. Another experiment focused on observing the behavior of colored fluids in space and on Earth.
