Former Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi has admitted that he contacted Amir to chastise him for his actions during Karachi Kings’ first two games of the eighth season of the HBL Pakistan Super League. During Thursday’s game between Islamabad United and Karachi Kings, Amir lost his composure.
Hassan Nawaz, the young batsman, attempted to take on Amir on the first delivery but failed to make contact. The left-arm pacer didn’t like it and spoke to the inexperienced batsman briefly. Amir later gave Nawaz a send-off after firing him.
In the same game, Amir and Tom Curran got into a furious argument. The former all-rounder warned the left-arm pacer not to destroy his reputation with unneeded theatrics while speaking on a local TV programme, according to him.
