Imran Khan, the Prime Minister of Pakistan visited the site of the building of Shaukat Khanum Memorial Trust. The prime minister shared the hope via Twitter regarding this facility to be opened by 2023.
He further said that this cancer hospital will be the twice of the size of Shaukar Khanum Lahore, and it will be equipped with almost all the latest diagnostic as well as the treatment facilities.
The Shaukat Khanum Memorial Trust was established in memory of the mother of Imran Khan who succumbed to the disease of cancer in 1985; however, PM has established many hospitals, laboratories along with the research centres all across Pakistan.
