The Sindh government has officially declared the holidays for the upcoming festival of Eid al-Adha. As per the notification issued by the government, the holidays will commence from June 28 and continue until July 1 across the province.
This announcement comes after the Ruet-e-Hilal committee confirmed that Eid al-Adha will be celebrated on June 29, Thursday, throughout the country.
Earlier, the federal government had released a holiday schedule for various types of offices. Institutions operating on a six day workweek were initially granted a three day holiday, from June 29 to July 1, in observance of Eid al-Adha. On the other hand, offices with a five-day workweek were given a two-day holiday for the festive occasion. Additionally, June 28 has also been declared as a holiday by the federal government.
The announcement of holidays for Eid al-Adha allows individuals to plan their activities accordingly and make the most of this special time. Most of the people visit their hometowns and celebrate Eid with their loved ones. It is a period of reflection, gratitude, and unity, as families and communities come together to celebrate and share in the spirit of generosity and compassion.
