In Sindh, the minimum monthly wages for both skilled and unskilled factory workers have been raised. The Chairman of Sindh Minimum Wage Board, Zulfiqar Ali Nizamani, made this announcement.
Skilled workers will now be paid a minimum of Rs. 33,280 per month, while unskilled workers will receive a minimum of Rs. 32,000. It is mandatory for factory owners to ensure these minimum wages are paid to their workers.
In case of objections, they have a 14-day window to submit them. The Chairman stressed that strict action will be taken against those who fail to comply with the minimum wage regulations. Additionally, the Sindh High Court has directed the government to enforce a minimum wage of Rs. 25,000 for sanitary workers.
