Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif has formally kicked off the party’s election campaign in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) by addressing a large public gathering in Muzaffarabad alongside Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.
During the rally, he outlined the party’s vision for the region and announced a series of development promises aimed at improving infrastructure, healthcare, and public services if PML-N secures victory in the upcoming elections.
Speaking to supporters, Nawaz Sharif pledged to increase the AJK budget tenfold, introduce electric bus services to modernize public transport, establish mobile hospitals to improve access to healthcare, and undertake major road development projects.
He also announced plans for a proposed motorway connecting Muzaffarabad with Mansehra and Mirpur to enhance regional connectivity and promote economic growth.
Addressing the gathering, Maryam Nawaz reiterated the party’s commitment to the people of AJK, describing the relationship between Kashmir and Pakistan as enduring and unwavering.
She promised that a PML-N government would focus on better governance, improved public services, and development initiatives designed to enhance the quality of life for residents across the region.
