Solar Panel Prices in Pakistan Reduced by Over 50%

Recent reports highlight a substantial and unexpected decrease in the prices of solar panels in the country. Specifically, the cost of a 70,000-watt solar panel has sharply declined to 30,000 rupees.

This notable shift in pricing is attributed to disruptions in the manufacturing of solar cells and photovoltaic (PV) modules, commonly referred to as solar panels.

The disruption is part of broader efforts to diminish China’s dominance in the solar manufacturing sector. To achieve this goal, significant projects were launched in the United States and Europe to establish large-scale facilities for the production of PV cells and modules.

However, these initiatives have faced challenges, including delays or completion issues, impacting the overall dynamics of the solar panel market.
