South Africa sees Pakistan as a key partner in trade and is eager to expand bilateral trade by realising its full potential, according to South Africa’s High Commissioner Methuthuzeli Madikiza.
On Thursday, he paid a visit to the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI), emphasising the importance of strengthening commercial ties between the private sector and chambers of commerce on both sides.
He stated that present bilateral trade between the two countries is less than $1 billion, but that it might reach $2 billion in the next years.
Joint ventures might be formed in a variety of industries, including mining, construction, tourism, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, and services, according to him. He stated that the High Commission of South Africa would assist Pakistan’s business community in developing relationships with their counterparts in order to foster collaboration in areas of common interest.
