Sri Lanka & Bangladesh Confirmed Support for Hybrid Model in Hosting Asia Cup 2023, Proposed by PCB

Pakistan Cricket Board proposed a hybrid model for Asia Cup 2023 amidst the India’s plan to transfer the match venue to UAE, Sri Lanka, or Bangladesh owing to security reasons. According to the hybrid model suggested by PCB, all the teams excluding India should play one match in Pakistan and all the remaining matches to be played in UAE.

Recently, PCB claimed that they will pull back from the at hand test series match against Sri Lanka if the country opposes the hybrid model. Moreover, it was stated by the Asian Cricket Council that the tournament will be held in Sri Lanka on the account of India’s security concerns.

Some reports claiming that Board of Control for Cricket India has acquired support from Bangladesh and Sri Lanka regarding the venue replacement, which was later denied by the concerned authorities.

However, Pakistan Cricket Board has recently confirmed the approval of Sri Lanka and Bangladesh on the propped hybrid mode. It seems to be the perfect news for cricket fans.
