State Bank of Pakistan NOVELU Refutes Rumors of Nationwide ATM and Online Banking Shutdown in Pakistan

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has put an end to rumors circulating about the closure of ATMs, stating that these reports are completely false. In an official statement, the central bank reassured the public that all ATMs and online banking services are operating normally without any interruptions.

The SBP also issued a warning to the public about the dangers of interacting with suspicious online links and urged everyone to be cautious about sharing personal information.

They reminded users to log out of their online banking sessions after use to avoid any security risks. Additionally, the SBP advised customers to regularly check their account statements for any unusual activity to ensure their financial safety.

The central bank emphasized that misleading posts on social media should be ignored, as they are not based on facts. To further ensure the security of the financial system, the SBP is working closely with banks and 1Link, the country’s payment and ATM switch operator, to protect customers from any potential threats.

The SBP’s prompt response highlights its commitment to maintaining the safety and security of Pakistan’s banking system, while also reminding the public to stay alert and avoid falling victim to false information.
