The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) announced on Tuesday that Karachi would continue to experience strong and gusty winds, resulting in cooler temperatures until the evening. These winds, blowing from the northeast at speeds ranging from 34 to 36 kilometres per hour and reaching up to 45 km per hour, are attributed to westerly waves affecting Balochistan and Sindh.
The temperature in Karachi was recorded at 17°C on Tuesday morning. Additionally, the PMD has predicted thunderstorms and snowfall in Balochistan and the upper regions of the country for the same day.
Furthermore, the Met Office had previously mentioned that a westerly wave would enter Balochistan on February 25 and spread to other parts of the country by February 26. This weather system is expected to bring rain, thunderstorms, and snowfall over hilly areas.
