Stunning Images of the World’s Largest Cruise Ship, 5 Times Bigger Than Titanic

The world’s largest passenger cruise ship, named “Icon,” will embark on its maiden voyage in January 2024. Operated by the Royal Caribbean company, this ship is 5 times larger than a typical tanker and features 20 decks with replicas of New York’s famous Central Park and numerous amenities.

Images of the ship have gone viral on social media since the company started taking bookings for its first voyage in October 2022, and all tickets were sold out within a few hours. During its inaugural trip, the cruise will depart from the American city of Miami and sail to the Caribbean Islands, accommodating 7,600 passengers. The ship successfully completed a trial sea voyage in June 2023.

The 1,198-foot tall vessel weighs 250,800 tons, making it the world’s largest cruise ship. It boasts 40 restaurants and a massive swimming pool, along with the first-ever water park available to passengers, featuring 6 water slides.

The ship was constructed in Finland and offers various recreational opportunities for travelers, including an Edge Rope, a Surf Simulator, and mini-golf courses. It also provides swings for children and other recreational facilities. Icon has a total of 2,805 rooms, divided into 14 different categories. A three-story Town House can be rented for approximately $75,000 per week on average.

Moreover, the ship has an onboard waterfall, and passengers can enjoy ice skating as well.
