TikTok Removes Over 12.6 Million Videos from Pakistan

In a move to comply with local regulations, TikTok has removed over 12.6 million videos from its platform in the fourth quarter (Oct to Dec) of 2022 for violating community guidelines, placing the country second on the list of largest volume of videos removed.

The social media giant took action after the country’s telecom regulator ordered it to remove content that was deemed inappropriate or harmful.

According to the report, automation eliminated almost 46.83 million videos, while 5.47 million of them were restored.

In Q4 2022, 12,628,267 movies were taken down from Pakistan for breaking community rules.
