Saim Ayub, who is garnering interest from some of the greatest names in the game, is a new rising star in Pakistan cricket.
The young cricketer has been praised by veteran Pakistani top-order batsman Fakhar Zaman, who has compared him to the team’s current captain, Babar Azam.
Speaking about Saim Ayub’s abilities, Fakhar Zaman said: “I think after Babar Azam, we have got such a player in the form of Saim Ayub.” He went on to say that he was impressed with the young player’s technique and potential, and that he believed he had a bright future ahead of him in international cricket.
Fakhar and Saim restored Pakistan’s batting with a 79-run third-wicket stand after losing the seasoned duo of Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan for only 30 runs.
Saim Ayub is definitely in the plans of the PCB for an extended stay with the international team, and if he continues to perform well, he might soon join the ODI and Test setups as well.
