How to Apply
There are two ways to apply for the scholarship.
Embassy Recommendation
Under the Embassy Recommendation, Japanese embassies have the authority to nominate candidates for MEXT Scholarships.
University Recommendation
The other way is via University Recommendation through which the Tokyo Institute of Technology recommends candidates for the scholarship.
Candidates can not apply through both routes simultaneously. Subsequent to receiving recommendations from Japanese embassies and universities, the ultimate selection decision is taken by MEXT.
