The unstable currency rate and unsteady national economy have driven up the cost of producing vehicles, forcing companies to raise their retail selling prices and pass the burden along to consumers.
Indus Motor Company (IMC) has raised the pricing of its locally-built automobiles. Depending on the model, the price rise goes from Rs 110,000 to Rs 500,000, according to the announcement.
There are six different models of the Toyota Corolla, including the MT 1.6, ALTIS CVT 1.6, Special Edition, ALTIS CVT 1.8, ALTIS GRANDE CVT-i 1.8 (Beige Interior), and ALTIS GRANDE CVT-i 1.8 (Black Interior). Variants of the Toyota Corolla have seen price increases of up to Rs 200,000, and the top-of-the-line 1.8L Altis Grande CVT now costs PKR 38.99 lac. The basic Altis 1.6L MT, currently available at PKR 31.59 lac, has seen the smallest rise of Rs 110,000.
The recently released Yaris car, which hasn’t yet been seen on local roads, is also included in the price adjustment. The base 1.3L GLi MT model has increased in price by Rs 120,000 to PKR 24.69 lakh, while the top-spec 1.5L Yaris AtivX CVT variant has increased in price by Rs 150,000 to PKR 29.59 lac.
