A fund executive recently said that Toyota Motor’s first venture capital fund is now investing in the startups that would help the Japanese automakers to refine the everyday processes thorough their effective supply-chain (SC) management and the robotics that are in the factory.
Toyota AI Ventures fund with around $200 million as under the management that had invested in around 36 initial startups so far including Nauto, Drishti and Joby Aviation firms that are now effectively achieving its aim.
The one of the largest automakers by sales of vehicles “Toyota” and other car firms like Volkswagen the AG are also funneling the money in different startups as to succor them and gaining a competitive advantage along with a great edge in an artificial intelligence (AI) as an investor like their interest shifts towards the self-driving vehicles from manual or auto cars.
