Toyota Pakistan Again Announces Plant Shutdown

Indus Motor Company, which makes Toyota vehicles in Pakistan, has decided to stop making cars from August 25th to September 6th, 2023. This is because not many people are buying cars due to less money to spend.

They said in a message to the Pakistan Stock Exchange that things have been tough for the car industry in the year 2022-2023. People are not buying cars because they don’t have enough money.

The government is also putting more taxes on cars, and the whole economy is not doing well. This is making fewer people want to buy cars.

Because of these problems, Indus Motor Company will not be making cars from August 25th to September 6th, 2023. They have too many cars already, and not enough people want to buy them.

Other companies, like Sitara Peroxide and Pak Suzuki Motor Company, have also stopped making cars before for different reasons. Sometimes not many people want cars, and other times it’s because they can’t get the parts they need to make the cars.
