To celebrate Toyota’s US-based design studio, Calty’s 50th anniversary, they’ve introduced a cool concept called the Baby Lunar Cruiser. This concept vehicle is designed to tackle rough terrains on Earth and even in space, although right now, it’s just a virtual concept.
Even though it looks futuristic and like something from another planet, the Baby Lunar Cruiser has clear influences from the classic FJ40 Land Cruiser, giving it that old-school 4×4 vibe. The idea is to combine the timeless charm of traditional off-road vehicles with the advanced capabilities of a vehicle for exploring other planets.
It takes inspiration from a real project where Toyota is working on a Lunar Cruiser for the Japanese Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA). While the Baby Lunar Cruiser is currently just a concept, it’s an exciting and innovative creation from Calty to celebrate 50 years of design excellence.
