Twitter Officially Changed its Bird Logo to ‘X’

Twitter has made a significant logo change, replacing its iconic bird logo with an ‘X’ as its official emblem. This change comes after an announcement by Elon Musk, who is known for his fascination with the letter ‘X.’ The new logo has already been implemented on the website, and Musk revealed that the domain x. com now redirects to twitter. com.

Musk referred to the new logo as “interim,” hinting that there might be further logo changes in the future. Moreover, he indicated that Twitter could eventually bid farewell to its current brand and gradually phase out all bird-related imagery.

Elon Musk’s interest in the letter ‘X’ is well-documented, as evident from his previous ventures like X. com, which later became PayPal, and SpaceX. This latest logo change aligns with Musk’s vision of transforming Twitter into a comprehensive app called “X, the everything app.”

Linda Yaccarino, the CEO of Twitter, emphasized that this new direction would focus on enhancing features related to audio, video, messaging, payment/banking, and creating a global marketplace for ideas, goods, services, and opportunities.

In essence, Twitter is embracing a new logo and potential rebranding as it aims to evolve into a versatile platform with a broader range of features and capabilities.
