The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has become the biggest buyer of Pakistani mangoes, as reported by the Ministry of Commerce to the National Assembly.
In the last five years, Pakistan exported mangoes worth $159.74 million to the UAE, making it the top destination for this fruit.
Other key markets include the United Kingdom, which imported mangoes valued at $131.96 million, and Kazakhstan, which purchased $93.86 million worth of mangoes.
Countries like Oman, Afghanistan, and Saudi Arabia have also played a role in boosting Pakistan’s mango exports.
In total, Pakistan’s mango exports over the past five years have reached $632.003 million. Alongside mangoes, citrus fruit exports have also shown progress, with $30.9 million earned in the current fiscal year.
