UAE smashes Guinness world records of ‘Highest altitude fireworks display’ on new year celebrations.

Ras Al Khaimah New Year’s Eve Celebrations (RAKNYE 2022) in the UAE wowed everyone with a stunning fireworks display that broke two Guinness World Records.

The tower of fireworks reached 1,055.8 metres tall, taller than any skyscraper in the world, and set the inaugural Guinness World Records title for the ‘Highest Altitude Multirotor/Drone Fireworks Display.’ The specifically planned pyrotechnics, which used cutting-edge drone technology, were astonishing in their scope and scale, according to the UAE’s official news agency WAM.

It also broke the record for the ‘Most Remotely Operated Multirotors/Drones Launching Fireworks Simultaneously,’ when 452 drones released fireworks at the same time to form the ‘Happy New Year’ visual in the sky. The organisers used modern pyrotechnics and integrated wireless technology to light up the emirate’s coastline in breathtaking fashion.
