UAE Visit Visa: Tourists can Extend their Stay without Exiting the Country

Great news for travelers! The Federal Authority for ICP has confirmed that you can now extend your visit visa in the UAE without the need to exit the country. This recent development brings added flexibility and convenience for tourists.

To make use of this new rule, you need to enter UAE within 60 days from the date your visa is issued. The duration of your entry permit will be either 30 days or 60 days. It depends on the type of visa you have obtained.

Moreover, it is essential to leave UAE by the last day of your visa’s validity or extend your visa before it expires. Failure to comply with this requirement may result in fines. They can vary depending on the emirate you are in. To get accurate information on the fines applicable, it is better to consult the sponsoring agency.

Charges for Extension

Visitors will be charged AED 250 for the first day of overstaying, with an additional AED 50 per day thereafter. This policy aims to encourage tourists to comply with the visa regulations and avoid unnecessary penalties.

Last year, UAE implemented significant reforms to its visa procedures. It includes the introduction of visit visas for either 30 or 60 days. Initially, a 10 day grace period was allowed for tourists to exit the country after the visa expired. However, this grace period has been eliminated in the recent update.

This new rule not only simplifies the visa process for tourists but also provides them with more opportunities to explore and enjoy their stay in the UAE. Visitors can now extend their visit visas without the hassle of leaving the country. It enables them to make the most of their travel experience.

Avoid Penalties with Timely Visa Extension

Ensure a hassle free stay in the UAE by extending your visit visa before its expiry. Avoid fines and penalties by complying with the updated regulations.
