Exciting news has been revealed about the upcoming features at Dubai’s beaches. By 2040, Dubai’s coastline will expand by 400%, allowing residents and tourists to enjoy 105km of public beaches, a significant increase from the current 21km. Here’s a glimpse of what beachgoers can look forward to once the project is completed.
Jebel Ali beach:
The first phase of development will focus on Jebel Ali beach, offering visitors a unique experience that integrates beach spaces with natural reserve experiences.
Activities:
There will be a wide range of activities available for people of all ages to enjoy at the beaches. From water sports to other recreational activities, beachgoers will have plenty of options to choose from.
Zones:
The beaches will be divided into different zones, including public beaches and marine sanctuaries. This division will provide visitors with various options for relaxation and engaging in activities.
Public facilities:
The beach areas will feature new walking and cycling tracks, as well as food trucks offering a diverse range of cuisines. These facilities will enhance the overall experience for beach visitors.
Mangroves:
The beaches will also incorporate a natural area where mangroves will be grown. Mangrove forests play a crucial role in protecting the coasts from rising sea levels and storms, while providing essential habitats for biodiversity.
Beach rest areas:
One of the exciting additions will be beach rest areas, which resemble private, individual cabanas. These areas will offer beachgoers a comfortable and private space to relax and unwind.
Al Mamzar Beach:
At Al Mamzar Beach and Corniche, a wide variety of water activities will be available. Enhanced beach events and entertainment activities will also be hosted in this area.
With these upcoming features, Dubai’s beaches will provide an enhanced and enjoyable experience for visitors, offering a mix of natural beauty, recreational opportunities, and comfortable facilities.
