Expressing safety reservations, the UK (United Kingdom) has denied to lift up the ban on PIA (Pakistan International Airlines).
According to the sources, a letter had been written to the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) in order to communicate it’s concern due to security measures. CAA received letter on 8September, 2022.
Dft is not satisfied with the steps taken by the CAA in order to ensure flight standards and safety.
The DfT has a concern mentioned in the letter that the ban couldn’t be lifted up due to lack of progress despite the settlement of the licensing issues and legislation on aviation in Pakistan.
