Pakistan’s men’s hockey team started their Europe tour with a bang, winning 5-3 against the Netherlands in the first of a two-game series in Amsterdam.
Even though they were behind by one goal in the first half, the Greenshirts made an amazing comeback in the second half, scoring three goals in a row to take the victory.
Rizwan scored three goals, while Mubashir and Aijaz each contributed one goal to the team’s success.
Next up, the team will play against the Netherlands again in the second match tomorrow. Right now, they’re leading the series 1-0.
After that, they have six more international matches lined up before heading to the Asia Cup in Jakarta, which starts on May 21. They’ll play two matches against the Netherlands, one against Belgium, and three against Spain during this time.
The team is expected to come back home on May 5 after finishing their tour.
