US Announces Another $20 Million Aids for Flood Victims in Pakistan

An additional $20 million has been announced by US for flood victims of Pakistan.

USAID (US Agency for International Development) administrator Samantha Power has announced that the US would send an additional $20 million aids to the flood victims of Pakistan.

He stated that flood effects has been felt by the whole country.

3.5 million people of Pakistan are the victims of such Dmdevastation flood, where approximately 1400 are no more and 12,700+ people have been injured.

Since August 12, more than $50 million has been provided as an aid for the victims.

Other than that, emergency relief supplies, shelters, logistics and humanitarian response coordination systems will be provided by USAID, according to the representative.

Whereas, USAID will also focus on water sanitation and hygiene in order to decrease the expected spread of waterborne diseases.

Moreover, an air delivery of emergency supplies for victims were also provided with the assistance of USAID and Central Command of the US Army.
