After the joint Opposition submitted a no-confidence motion against him in the Punjab Assembly earlier today, Sardar Usman Buzdar (Chief Minister of Punjab) announced his resignation on Monday.
PM Imran Khan has nominated PMLN-Q’s Chaudry Pervez Elahi for the post, according to Minister of State for information and Broadcasting Farrukh Habib.
Habib wrote on Twitter, that when Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi met PM Imran khan. All issues were settled in the meeting, and PML-Q expresses confidence and support for Imran Khan. Usman Buzdar announced his resignation to Prime Minister. And now PM Imran Khan has finally decided to elect Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi as the new Chief Minister of Punjab”.
The increasing pressure within PTI has resulted in removing Usman Buzdar as the Chief Minister of Punjab.
