Usman Dar inaugurates Special Anti-begging Squad in Sialkot

On Sunday, Muhammad Usman Dar, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Youth Affairs, launched a special anti-begging team in Sialkot.

The special females police squad would be on duty to prevent thefts, robberies, and purse snatching from women incidents at bazaars and crowded places, according to a police spokesperson.

A sub-inspector and ten lady constables would patrol on foot in Tehsil Bazaar, Bhuddi Bazaar, Bano Bazaar, and other bazaars to catch criminal women beggars.

The goal of placing lady police officers in bazaars, according to DPO Muhammad Hassan Iqbal, is to prevent crime as well as to instil a sense of security and self-confidence in women.

Later, Muhammad Usman Dar, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Youth Affairs, DPO Muhammad Hassan Iqbal, Deputy Commissioner Imran Qureshi, and Anjuman-e-Tajiran members visited numerous marketplaces and enquired about trader and tourist issues.
