Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra has stated that the concept of the “Fab Four” in Test cricket no longer exists since Virat Kohli is no longer considered part of it. Chopra believes that Babar Azam has been performing exceptionally well and has the potential to join this elite group, although he hasn’t reached that status just yet.
Chopra mentioned that currently, the “Fab Three” in Test cricket consists of Kane Williamson, Joe Root, and Steve Smith. However, he acknowledged Babar Azam’s impressive performances and highlighted his potential inclusion in the future.
During a Test match between England and New Zealand last year, former New Zealand player Simon Doull praised Pakistan captain Babar Azam. Doull expressed his belief that there is no room for debate regarding Babar’s status as the best player in the world at present. Doull referred to Babar as the “Big One” and highlighted his exceptional skills in the top order.
