‘We can Earn 5 to 6 Billion Dollar from Sea’, Former President Asif Ali Zardari

Former President Asif Ali Zardari, representing the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), has made several important statements regarding the party’s stance and priorities in the lead-up to the 2024 general elections. Zardari emphasized the PPP’s preparedness to engage in political alliances and confront opponents in the democratic process, underlining the importance of healthy competition, which is fundamental to the democratic system. This commitment to democratic principles and a competitive political landscape reflects the PPP’s dedication to a transparent and fair electoral process.

Regarding the issue of repatriating illegal Afghan residents in Pakistan, Zardari advocated for their return to Afghanistan. This stance aligns with the need to address Islamabad’s financial challenges, as it can be a burden to host a large number of undocumented Afghan individuals. Moreover, ensuring the Afghan population’s return to their homeland contributes to regional stability and security.

Zardari also highlighted the PPP’s past contributions during its governance in Sindh. These include initiatives focused on job creation for the youth, development projects aimed at improving the province’s overall well-being, and tapping into the economic potential of the sea. The projected revenue generation of $5 to $6 billion from marine resources underscores the party’s commitment to economic development and prosperity for the region.
