On Wednesday, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif proposed draconian austerity measures as the country tried to reduce spending in the face of severe economic hardship.
He announced that none of the ministers, special assistants, or advisers will get pay or benefits during a press conference with other members of the government.
He commanded, “From today, the energy conservation plan should be implemented in its entirety. We shall be compelled to stop providing electricity to shopping centres after 8:00 pm if it is not obeyed.
