A small group of WhatsApp beta testers is currently being asked to confirm their accounts by using their personal email addresses. This new feature is in a limited testing phase and has been reported by a few beta users.
This email verification system aims to enhance the security of WhatsApp accounts, making it more difficult for unauthorized access.
While the feature is currently limited in its rollout, it’s expected to become available to all users in the near future. Users will simply need to enter their email addresses and wait for a verification message with no additional steps.
WhatsApp is also working on other features, including multiple user profiles in a single account, the ability to log in with an email, video navigation options, message pinning, and the capability to send media as documents to maintain quality on iOS devices.
