Android users on the beta channel have learnt that the firm is now working on message reactions and notifications in its Android version in the next WhatsApp release, the 2.21.24.8 update.
According to reports, WhatsApp has been testing the message reaction function for several months, and it allows users to reply to messages in the same way they react to posts and comments on the Facebook and Instagram apps.
The Meta-owned messaging app had no plans to alert users of message reactions at first, but the creators eventually began testing it for the iOS beta version. It’s now attempting to implement the same service for Android users.
