When I Said “Teesra is Coming” It was About my Third Child Not Bowling Technique, Saeed Ajmal

Saeed Ajmal, the former Pakistani spinner, recently revealed the secret behind his unique bowling style called the ‘teesra.’ According to Ajmal, during a cricket series against England in 2012, his manager advised him to say something that would confuse the opposing team. So, he jokingly mentioned that his ‘teesra’ (a third kind of delivery) was coming. However, in reality, he was referring to the imminent arrival of his third child.

Ajmal shared this amusing story during a program with fellow cricketers Yasir Hameed and Imran Nazir. A video of his disclosure was shared on Twitter and quickly became viral due to its funny nature.

During his career, Ajmal achieved several milestones. He became the fastest Pakistani player to reach 100 Test wickets in his 20th Test match. He also held the record for the most wickets (85) in Twenty20 International cricket until Shahid Afridi surpassed it with 98 wickets.

On November 13, 2017, Ajmal announced his retirement from all forms of cricket. Currently, he serves as an assistant coach for the Islamabad United team in the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
